With
ten years of experience, Suzanne (Sue) Bowness writes about a variety
subjects, including history, higher education, business, technology, travel,
arts, and books.
When Sue
handles larger projects, she relies on a team of fellow professionals
represented by CodeWord Communications to help her get projects done reliably
and on deadline.
Currently
based in Toronto, Canada, Sue began her career in magazines as Online
Editor at the late Saturday Night magazine. Since then she's worked
as a freelancer to develop a solid reputation for consistently producing
good work, producing everything from brochures to newsletters to articles
to reports. She loves the challenge of making even dry topics fun and
readable.
Sue's first
love of magazines even comes through in the academic work she's undertaken
- to write a PhD thesis on nineteenth century Canadian periodicals.
Sue is past
president of the Ottawa Chapter of the Professional Writers Association
of Canada and a member of the Editors Association of Canada.
Finally,
Sue also has a passion for creative writing. She just published her first
book of poetry, The Days You've Spent, with Tightrope Books, and
is working on several other creative projects. Check out her poetry book
